Featherweight Chad Mendes signs new UFC contract

Featherweight standout Chad Mendes is now officially under the UFC umbrella.

Following a dominant decision over top-ranked Japanese fighter Michihiro Omigawa at this past Saturday's UFC 126 event, Mendes signed his first contract with the UFC.

Mendes today Tweeted the good news with a picture of him putting pen to paper on the multi-fight deal.
