Big 12's top returning tackler breaks arm

Jake Knott made 131 tackles as a first-year starter for Iowa State.

He won't make any in Saturday's spring game.

The second-team All-Big 12 linebacker broke the ulna bone in his right arm in practice on Thursday and had surgery to repair this injury on Friday.

“Jake is recovering well,” Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads said. “The total recovery time for an injury of this nature is about two months. We are confident that he will be ready to go for fall practice in August.”
