About the choice: David Harris never has been selected to a Pro Bowl roster, but last season his teammates voted him MVP of a squad that features several superstars. Harris again led the New York Jets in tackles. He recorded 114 tackles, four tackles for losses, three sacks, a team-high 14 quarterback hits, one forced fumble and one recovery. Harris' numbers go up in the postseason. He has averaged 10.2 tackles in five playoff games. In January's victory over the New England Patriots, he registered 13 tackles and intercepted Tom Brady.

Key fact: Over the past four seasons, the only time Harris didn't lead the Jets in tackles was in 2008, when he finished second despite missing five games.

Hint about No. 12: He had a disappointing season, but he's such a great talent he still made the top dozen.
