Vollmer
About the choice: Sebastian Vollmer emerged as one of the league's best right tackles in 2010. He committed five penalties and allowed one sack, according to STATS Inc. Fans, coaches and fellow players didn't vote Vollmer onto the Pro Bowl roster, but the Associated Press panel cast enough ballots to make him second-team All-Pro. That means they considered him among the top four tackles -- right or left -- in the NFL. If free-agent left tackle Matt Light doesn't re-sign with the Patriots, then you can expect Vollmer to flip over. Key fact: The native of Kaarst, Germany, didn't start playing football until he was 14 and didn't speak English when recruited to play tight end at the University of Houston.
Hint about No. 17: We haven't named a running back yet. Let's change that Thursday.
