Maynard still not cleared to fight; Edgar rep says champ could be ready by October

For now, UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar has a leg up on Gray Maynard - in the recovery room.

Edgar has been cleared to fight and is ready to compete in October, manager Ali Abdel-Aziz today told MMAjunkie.com.

Maynard, meanwhile, has yet to receive the all-clear to begin a camp that would prepare him for a highly anticipated rematch with the lightweight champ.
