Syracuse LB Marquis Spruill out for spring

Syracuse has been hit with more bad news on the injury front, announcing Friday that starting middle linebacker Marquis Spruill would miss spring practice with a lower body injury. His status for the 2012 season will be evaluated before preseason camp begins. Spruill has started every game over the past two seasons, and was a second-team All-Big East selection this season. This month, the school announced that starting receiver Alec Lemon and cornerback Keon Lyn would also be out for the spring.
