Coach Joel Quenneville called Wednesday night's matchup against the Calgary Flames the Blackhawks' "next biggest game of the year."
The teams are meeting for the fourth and final time this season with the Flames having won two of the first three. The combatants are among a group of teams fighting it out for playoff positioning in the Western Conference. Entering the game, the Flames has one more point than the Hawks' 74 with two more games played.
After two periods, the Hawks lead 4-1. Jonathan Toews has two goals while Michael Frolik and Brian Campbell each have a goal and an assist for the Hawks. Alex Tanguay has Calgary's goal.

Corey Crawford is making his ninth consecutive start in goal for the Hawks, who are in the midst of a stretch of five games in seven nights. In goal for the Flames is veteran Miikka Kiprusoff.
