White?s handwriting on the wall: Fedor?s facing a no-win situation

Dana White's a business man first, but fight fan is a close second. Over the years, the UFC president has had opinions on lots of fighters in and out of his organization. He's been particularly dogged about his thoughts on Fedor Emelianenko. White believes Fedor's been overrated for the last five or six years.

It's nothing against the fighter himself, it's just an opinion. It was the same with Kimbo Slice, who he called on the carpet and said couldn't win "The Ultimate Fighter." Slice didn't come close to winning TUF 10 and lasted just two fights in the UFC.

Fedor's recent run against better competition is also showing that he has plenty of warts, but White still believes he can win fights.

"Although I don't think Fedor is anywhere near the pound-for-pound list, and as far as heavyweights go, I'd have him toward the bottom of the top 10 and maybe just out of the top 10, here's what I will not deny Fedor. He can punch, OK? That guy can punch and if he catches you, he can knock you out," White told SI.com

He's facing a tough customer in Dan Henderson, who's never been KO'd. But White wonders what the 230-pound Fedor gains with a win over Henderson, who fought at middleweight in the UFC.

"If I've got to still give Fedor his digs, my dig would be, 'Dude, you're fighting a 185-pounder.' Henderson's got a great chin, he's durable, he's got good wrestling, he can stay out of submissions, and all the great things I can say about Henderson, but Henderson weighs 185 pounds. So I actually think this fight, as far as Fedor is concerned, it's a lose lose for him," White said. "If he knocks out Dan Henderson, he knocks out a 185-pounder. If he gets knocked out, he just got knocked out by a 185-pounder."

Fedor, riding a two-fight losing streak, is a huge favorite at minus-225.
