Report: Pats seek permission for McDaniels

The dominoes are already starting to fall following the pending departure of New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. Bryan Burwell of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports New England reached out to the Rams to seek permission to speak to Josh McDaniels. According to the report, it's unknown if St. Louis will grant permission. McDaniels would make for a natural transition with the Patriots. He was offensive coordinator in New England from 2006-2008 before becoming head coach of the Denver Broncos.
