Ohio State loses assistant Bill Sheridan

So much for Bill Sheridan's Big Ten homecoming. Sheridan, hired late last month to coach Ohio State's cornerbacks, is heading back to the NFL. Ohio State confirmed to ESPN.com that Sheridan has left the program to "pursue other opportunities," and The Lantern first reported he'll be joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' staff as defensive coordinator. The NFL teams from Florida have been poaching Big Ten staffs in recent weeks. The Miami Dolphins added Iowa offensive coordinator Ken O'Keefe and Purdue secondary coach Lou Anarumo.
