UFC on Versus 6?s Three Stars: Johnson, Struve and Sass

UFC on Versus 6?s Three Stars: Johnson, Struve and Sass

Mr. White went to Washington and put on a better show for free than the pay-per-view the week before. UFC on Versus 6 had just two decisions, and both were exciting bouts. Who stood out on this night of fun fights?

No. 1 star -- Anthony Johnson: In his win over Dan Hardy, Johnson earned the tag of boring fighter. He shed that label on Saturday night, overwhelming Charlie Brenneman with kicks. The stoppage may have been a tad early, but hardly an outrage. In victory, Johnson showed again that he is capable of ending a fight with his striking, as he has done six other times in his career.

No. 2 star -- Stefan Struve: With a foot height difference, one of the oddest looking fights in recent UFC history ended not with Struve using his overwhelming reach advantage, but with his submission skills. After a slow round one, Struve withstood a Pat Barry slam to get a triangle choke win.

No. 3 star -- Paul Sass: The British-born fighter kept his undefeated record intact with another heel hook submission over "The Ultimate Fighter" winner Michael Johnson. Out of Sass' 12 wins, 11 are by submission. Maybe his next opponent will know to stay off the ground.
