Former IHSA director Robinson dies at 72

Don Robinson, a former Illinois High School Association associate executive director, died Sunday at the age of 72 after recently being diagnosed with cancer.

Robinson, a native of Warsaw, Ill., worked with the IHSA from 1978-1999, serving as the administrator for football, wrestling, basketball and track and field. He was involved in the expansion of the football playoffs to six classes in 1980.
