PHOENIX -- Barring any setbacks or unforeseen changes, Edwin Jackson is in line to start the Chicago White Sox's second game at Cleveland on April 2.

The Sox have set up their rotation for the first five exhibition games. Gavin Floyd, the likely No. 4 starter, will pitch the Sox's exhibition opening on Feb. 28 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Opening day starter Mark Buehrle will face Milwaukee on March 1, followed by Jackson on March 2 against Cincinnati at Goodyear and left-hander John Danks on March 3 against Seattle.

The Tribune first reported the Sox's rotation with Jackson as the second starter earlier this month.

Jake Peavy, who is recovering from a latissimus dorsi muscle, will make his Cactus League debut March 4 against the Los Angeles Angels at Tempe.

Pitching coach Don Cooper has not decided when prized left-hander Chris Sale will make his exhibition debut. Cooper did say that no starter or reliever will pitch more than two innings in their spring debuts.
