Tulane has one of the best freshmen running backs in the country, and he has a fitting name, too: Orleans Darkwa. Despite battling through an elbow injury this season, Darkwa has 618 yards and is on pace to set the school freshman record. Mewelde Moore set the mark of 890 yards in 2000. With three games left, Darkwa also has a chance to become the first freshman in school history to rush for 1,000 yards.
He has passed the 100-yard mark in three straight games. His rushing yardage ranks third overall in Conference USA but is the most by a freshman.
