The Chargers late season surge continues to be their trademark with two games left in the 2010 NFL season. San Diego (8-6) is one game behind the Chiefs and the only way for them to make the postseason is to win the AFC West Division title. In their bid to catch up to Kansas City, the Chargers are fortunate to face the lowly Cincinnati Bengals (3-11) next but will have to overcome the Ohio winter elements as well.The Bengals' offense that would have appeared to be explosive entering into this season never really got going and now has fallen apart. With wide receivers Terrell Owens placed on IR due to torn cartilage in his left knee and Chad Ochocinco missing Sunday's game due to ankle problems, the Bengals can start on their next project to help determine the veteran pass catchers' fates for next season. Third-year receivers Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell have two games to display their talents and possibly serve as an indicator of quarterback Carson Palmer's ability to produce as well.
