Seven Years Later, Is Rush Limbaugh Right About Donovan McNabb?

Interesting story from SI.com Monday.

Caused quite a Rush, in fact.

Michael Rosenberg wrote a post with the headline, "There's no better place to be a sports fan than Philadelphia right now." And he certainly had a point, especially less than 24 hours after what the Eagles did Sunday to the New York Giants at the Meadowlands.

Rosenberg pointed to DeSean Jackson's improbable game-winning punt return as time expired, but made equal mention of the great run of baseball's Phillies (four straight postseason appearances, including a World Series title), the Flyers reaching the Stanley Cup Finals and currently holding the best record in the NHL, and even made brief mention of the struggling Sixers (adding hope was coming in the form of a potential NBA lockout).

Anyway, the topic eventually turned back to Michael Vick and what he's done for the Eagles in the months since replacing a certain athlete once revered as an athletic icon in the City of Brotherly Love.

Then came this:

Passion like this takes strange forms. While the rest of the country saw Donovan McNabb as a franchise quarterback, Philly fans sensed, earlier than most of us, that McNabb was overrated.
