Tim Tebow to Start Broncos' Finale

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Rookie quarterback Tim Tebow remains a work in progress who is likely to get better with more experience, interim Broncos coach Eric Studesville said Monday.

He'll get another round of playing time in Sunday's season finale against San Diego to try to prove it.

Studesville said on Monday that Tebow will get the start for the third consecutive game, confirming reports from a week ago that the former first-round pick would finish the season as Denver's starting quarterback in place of Kyle Orton. The starter for the first 13 games, Orton has basically recovered from a rib injury that paved the way for Tebow's first start against Oakland two weeks ago .

However, Tebow gave himself a tough act to follow with his latest foray on the gridiron. He passed for a touchdown and ran for another in the fourth quarter Sunday to help the Broncos overtake the Houston Texans for a 24-23 victory, the Broncos' first win in their last six games.
